H-E-B Spirit of Giving Fund Spreads Holiday Cheer to San Angelo ISD Staff

This holiday season, San Angelo ISD is grateful to H-E-B and the H-E-B Spirit of Giving Fund for an extraordinary show of support and appreciation for our Difference Makers.

Through the Spirit of Giving Fund, H-E-B provided $50 gift cards to every San Angelo ISD employee, recognizing the dedication and hard work educators and staff bring to students and families each day. The gesture served as a meaningful holiday surprise and a heartfelt thank-you to the district’s team.

“H-E-B holds compassion and strength for our fellow Texans,” said H-E-B Senior Manager of Public Affairs Jessicka Gonzales. “This year has been difficult for so many, that’s why we’re proud to offer extra relief during the holiday season.”

The H-E-B Spirit of Giving Fund was established to assist communities and individuals during times of crisis, particularly following natural disasters and unforeseen hardships. In response to the significant flooding that impacted the San Angelo community on July 4, H-E-B extended support to the SAISD team—especially those who experienced direct loss or disruption as a result of the flooding.

“Being reminded that your community sees you and supports you means everything, especially during the holidays,” said Shannon Schwartz, Executive Director of Communications for San Angelo ISD. “H-E-B’s generosity was an incredible surprise for our staff and a powerful show of care, especially for our team members who were impacted by the July flooding. We’re incredibly grateful to H-E-B and the Spirit of Giving Fund for showing up for our schools and for the City of San Angelo.”

The donation, totaling just over $102,000, reflects H-E-B’s continued commitment to supporting Texas schools and communities.

San Angelo ISD extends its sincere thanks to H-E-B and the H-E-B Spirit of Giving Fund for their compassion, generosity, and steadfast partnership. Their support not only lifted spirits during the holiday season but also reinforced the power of community during challenging times.
