SAISD Announces Back To School Giveaway for #FirstDaySAISD this Wednesday, August 17th

San Angelo ISD is excited to announce a fun, back to school giveaway in partnership with HEB, Ultimate Air Trampoline Park, Kona Ice of San Angelo, Tea2Go Tea’Nergy, Ocotillo Boutique, Cookie Joy of San Angelo, Old Central Firehouse Pizzeria and Gandy Ink in celebration of the first day of the school year this Wednesday, August 17, 2022, and our commitment to growing the hopes and dreams of our students! Three recipients will be randomly selected to each receive one of three baskets. Details on the giveaway, what’s included in each basket and how to participate are provided below. 

To participate, follow these steps: 

1. Like the post about the giveaway on the SAISD Facebook page.
2. Take a picture of your student on their first day of school this Wednesday, August 17th 

• Tip: Check out the #FirstDaySAISD printable sign to use for your first day photo, available here.
• Only one submission per household.
• Families are encouraged to share their first day pictures with the hashtag #FirstDaySAISD

3. Complete the First Day Photo Submission form here no later than Wednesday, August 17th at 1pm 6pm.
4. Three randomly-selected recipients of the baskets will be announced Wednesday, August 17th at 4pm Thursday, August 18 via our Facebook account, and will also be notified by the contact information provided in the submission.

_{*Note, families can also request to participate as an alternative to submitting a photo by emailing communications@saisd.org no later than Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 1pm and including the following information: sharing a hope or dream for your student for the school year, the name of the parent/guardian submitting the information and a contact phone number and email, the student name and school. Only one submission per household.}

Each giveaway basket includes the following items donated by our community partners: 

• one $50 Ultimate Air Trampoline Park gift card,
• one $20 Ocotillo Boutique gift card and pencil earrings,
• three Kona Ice of San Angelo Klassic Kona gift cards, valued at $4 each, 
• one $5 Tea2Go Tea’Nergy gift card and cup ‘sockie’,
• one $10 Old Central Firehouse Pizzeria gift card,
• one set of colorful and delicious cookies by Cookie Joy of San Angelo,
• one basket of HEB Back to School supply goodies like snacks, notebooks, pens, pencils, glue sticks and more, 
• one Gandy Ink water bottle, coaster and koozie, and 
• San Angelo READS! books to inspire a love of reading!
